Description:

ACCOUNTABILITIES Provides holistic security guidance to a wide variety of internal business partners across network, host, database, application, and people/process domains. At advanced levels, may provide program or portfolio -level guidance to business unit leaders and embedded security champions. Typically offers deeper specialization and expertise in one or more areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES Prioritizes own work and may have duties instructing, directing, assigning and overseeing work of more junior team members. Understands and contributes to cybersecurity strategy, policy, standards, and procedures. Creates and delivers presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences on Cybersecurity topics. Translates cybersecurity requirements into specific systems, applications and product designs for a specific client, program or project. Collaborates with clients regarding secure product configuration, deployment, and how they align and adhere to applicable security policies and standards to minimize security vulnerabilities. Guides clients in development and implementation of security control.

Description comments:

• Leads and drives remediation efforts with business units and various areas of IT to increase the efficiency of Dell’s security incident response processes within Dell
• Analyzes security issues, determines cause and impact and identifies the corrective action needed to eliminate and prevent the event from happening in the future.
• Exhibits good understanding of vulnerability validation, re-production, and remedy advice and vulnerability research skills.
• Build a strong partnership with Dell IT teams, SDL (Secure Development Lifecycle), RedTeam and other teams
• Define and report program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics
• Actively engages with various internal stakeholders including development, IT, product owners, legal, corporate communications, brand and other relevant teams in Cybersecurity to conduct holistic response management on identified vulnerabilities and the remediation efforts.
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks.

• Initiates any quality improvement that may be necessary to the current program and processes
• Work with Management as required to facilitate resolution to challenging business problems/objectives in a secure way. Cultivates, develops and manages strong, lasting customer relationships at senior management level.
• Collaborates with IT Service Centers and Business units to determine reporting and metrics needs and share and present reporting and metrics to Cybersecurity and Management.
• Participates in the creation, review and maintenance of current and proposed processes and procedures and related documentation within vulnerability management and remediation team.
Skills:
• 8+ years of related experience, specifically in Engineering/IT Operations, Security Operations, Application Lifecycle Management, and/or Incident Response • Ability to lead people, projects, or operations; fosters teamwork and collaboration across organizations and geographies • Passionate about vulnerability management and responsible disclosure • Familiarity with Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD), Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), MITRE Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) systems, and OWASP Top 10 • Ability to assemble and lead virtual teams to resolve incidents and to work collaboratively and remotely with others to accomplish goals • Program management experience in a technology/software company is required • Risk minded, pro-active, time-sensitive, and determined individuals are highly desirable. • Good technical aptitude, problem solving and ability to quickly learn and master new topics and domains.
