Job Details

Responsible to the Director of Technical Operations for leading, supervising and ensuring the correct implementation and effectiveness of the quality control and inspection system of the airline and the National Aeronautical Workshop, guaranteeing the continuous airworthiness of aircraft and components.

It ensures strict compliance with the Law and Regulations of the Civil Aeronautical Authority of Panama (AAC), the General Maintenance Manual (MGM), the Inspection Procedures Manual, the approved Operating Specifications, as well as the manufacturer's and corporate standards. It actively contributes to operational safety and the timely dispatch of aircraft, through the disciplined monitoring of Maintenance Dispatch Performance (MDP) metrics.

It promotes DHL's organizational culture, promotes initiatives aimed at employee satisfaction and engagement, encourages the use of continuous improvement tools provided by Human Resources and strengthens a work environment aligned with corporate values, maintaining at all times the independence and objectivity of the Quality Control function.

He exercises senior technical authority, with comprehensive responsibility for the discipline, competence, performance and effectiveness of the inspection system and the Quality Control team at the Miami and Panama bases.

Main responsibilities:

- Ensure the knowledge, interpretation and compliance with the Law and Regulations of the Civil Aeronautical Authority of Panama (AAC).- Ensure the correct application of the General Maintenance Manual (MGM), the Inspection Procedures Manual and the approved Operating Specifications.- Lead and ensure the effectiveness of the quality control and inspection system of aircraft and/or components operated and/or maintained by the organization, including the Air Operator and the National Aeronautical Workshop.- Ensure that all aircraft operated and/or maintained by the company are duly certified and maintained in accordance with AAC regulations, approved specifications and MGM policies.- Implement, establish and supervise procedures that ensure the correct execution of maintenance, adequate inspection of aircraft and components, and the complete and timely technical record of the work performed.- Supervise, direct and control compliance with the duties and responsibilities of the inspection personnel, in accordance with the standards of the manufacturer, the AAC and the company.- Evaluate, approve and recommend modifications to the inspection program when necessary.- Ensure, through designated personnel, the continued airworthiness of aircraft and their components.- Lead the contracting, supervision, evaluation and discipline of the Group of Quality Control Inspectors in both Miami and Panama.- Implement and supervise procedures to ensure the effectiveness of the control and receipt of calibration tools, parts and materials, components with calendar time and parts with limit life.- Coordinate with the Technical Operations Training Department to ensure that inspection personnel remain trained, updated and duly authorized.- Contribute to operational safety and timely dispatch of aircraft, through the continuous monitoring of Maintenance Dispatch Performance (MDP) metrics and compliance with policies and procedures.- Measure the team's results t
