Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a CAD Technician to join our Panama office. As part of the CAD Group, the CAD Technician will work as part of a multi-national team to produce high-quality waterfront structural designs for cargo and cruise terminals, military installations, marinas, wharfs, bulkheads, and privately-owned projects.

Duties and responsibilities:

•Develop 3D Revit models of structures, prepare construction drawings, and quantity take-offs
•Coordinate development of models between multi-disciplines including but not limited to structural, MEP, and architectural
•Accurately create drawings using company standards
•Manage production of engineering drawing packages and ensure a high-quality product
•Collaborate with consultants and other Moffatt & Nichol offices to ensure efficient data sharing
•Assist in providing training/mentoring as needed
•Perform site visits as needed
•Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (across multiple time zones) and to travel as and when required

•Associates degree in related discipline
•6+ years in Revit design with structural focus. Waterfront structural strongly preferred
•AutoCAD design experience is preferred
•Ability to effectively manage Revit drawing production
•Proven capacity to develop new Revit families and evaluate/update existing families
•Understanding and application of CAD/BIM standards
•Good understanding of project workflows
•Good numeracy, geometry, and computer skills
•Excellent written and verbal communications
•Possess good organization and problem-solving and with strong attention to detail
•Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
•Ability to work as part of a team across multiple locations and time zones
•Must meet local employment eligibility and background screening requirements in Brazil
•All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
