Operational Senior Buyer

Ensure material availability through Purchase Order management, master data setup, and mitigation of supply risks and issues.

Your role:

- Places and monitors POs with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and price compliance; adjusts quantities, consolidates orders, and resolves issues such as GR-IR mismatches, delivery discrepancies, or missing invoices.
- Manages forecast communication and validation with suppliers (including supplier-managed forecasts), tracks order confirmations, expedites deliveries when needed, and keeps SAP data accurate and updated.
- Oversees consignment stock and materials provided to vendors, conducts regular stock counts, manages return orders, and mitigates material shortage risks by addressing root causes of availability issues.
- Participates in supplier assessments, supports performance reviews, and leads or contributes to projects that enhance procurement performance and processes in collaboration with the Performance Manager and COE.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for buyer processes, providing guidance and training to junior buyers and new team members.

You're the right fit if:

- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Data Analysis, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or Vocational Education with at least 4 years of relevant experience in areas such as purchasing, procurement, supply chain, business administration, or industrial engineering.
- Strong communication and customer-oriented attitude, high attention to detail, excellent execution skills, and a proactive, self-driven approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Passion for learning, process optimization, and driving ongoing improvements.
- SAP, Excel, Power BI experience.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company's main facilities, generally at the customers' or suppliers' locations.

This role is an office role.
